Code Management Menu Screen Genesis Trunking Management System (GTMS) is really an enhancement to our time tested EzBill and EzSave software. Over the years, these have been two separate and distinctly different pieces of management software. They are still separate and can be operated independently from each other, however now we have added the ability for EzBill and EzSaveII to be integrated. This means that they can rely on each other to give you much more power and capability. We like to call the entire package GTMS to make things more simple and to signify that we really are completing the entire task of managing your Motorola trunking system. For GTMS to work, you must have purchased both EzBill and EzSaveII and the GTMS enhancement. Both EzBill and EzSaveII can be upgraded to GTMS if you have a older versions of the programs.

The biggest benefit of GTMS is to allow you one place to enter all data for your customer's radios. When you use the Code Management section, it will automatically put the unit into EzBill's Unitfile for billing. As you finish the Unit Screens, EzSave can take over and automatically activate the radio(s) for you. You can then use our GRIPIT feature to create a small file that your Motorola RSS software can use to program each radio. As we say in Texas, this gives you "one stop shopping"!

If you are operating GTMS under Windows 95 or Windows NT (© Microsoft, Inc.), you can easily have EzBill and EzSaveII operating on one terminal at the same time. This allows you the flexibility to work on your database operations while at the same time you are uploading changes to your Central Controller or backup up your controller!

The major things that GTMS gives you are-

Code Management System for TypeI, TypeII and Hybrid operations. GTMS will help you in assigning new fleets, units and talk groups with its Code Management System (CMS). This works with TypeI, TypeII and Hybrid systems. You can even Reserve IDs for future use. GTMS walks you through the questions in a painless and logical way to help with assigning your IDs. It will also print several great reports.... how each radio is to be programmed, total units on each system, total units assigned to failsoft channels, all radios belonging to an account, and many more. All of the GTMS reports are a result of requests from our vast base of customers in the USA and the world. They can all be printed to your screen or to a printer.

SDF File Creation. Sometimes this is also called the 'download file'. SDF stands for Standard Download File. Genesis is one of 3 companies worldwide that have been authorized and licensed to replace TCMS (Motorola's Trunk Code Management System). The SDF file is a highly encrypted, very small and can be Emailed to anyone for use with Motorola's RSS (Radio Service Software) to program the trunked radios. We also produce a log file that can be sent with the SDF file to plainly show the contents of the SDF. We call the SDF creation GRIPIT (Genesis Radio ID Programing Interface Tool).

Automatic activation/deactivation of units in your Central Controller if you operate on a Local Area Network ( LAN) or semi-automatic activation/deactivation without a LAN. This is called the Trunking Interface Enhancement (TIE) section of the program. These actions can happen in one of three periods- Immediate, Normal or Delay Batch.
