EzSaveII
During the 4th quarter of 1996, Genesis will be releasing a new and
smaller version. This will be version 2.5. 2.5 will require much less memory.
We do this by breaking EzSaveII into:
EzDial
A menuless program that can be used to simply dial and log on to a
Motorola trunk system. EzDial will use all of the data that is setup with
EzSaveII and calles your trunk system quickly and simply. In a GTMS configuration,
EzBill can call a Motorola trunk system, log on and bring a GRD> prompt
to the screen within 10-15 seconds! When EzDial exits the trunksystem,
you are brought right back to GTMS.
EzLoad
A smaller standalone module that will only do re-loading of your trunk
system. This will upload from your GTMS database or from your most recient
direct backup of your system. This will also be the module that will be
used to upload GTMS changes to your trunk system on a dynamic basis.
Flex Dialing Support
Motorola is in process of rolling out a new version of their CIT software.
This greatly expands the capabilities of the CIT. Genesis is in process
of expanding EzSaveII to handle an ASCII backup of this CIT enhancement.
Currently, EzSaveII is capable of doing a hex backup of this CIT version
with no problems. This CIT enhancement also changes the SAIR and SLNG outputs.
EzBill is currently ready to handle the SAIR and SLNG outputs from the
enhanced CIT.
GenCOM
Yes, Bill Gates, we will be turning to Windows. During '97 we will
be releasing a new and better EzSaveII and it will be called GenCOM. This
will use all of the Windows95 features that are available. Oh, yes, this
will be a 32 bit program designed and optimized for Windows95.
LTRSave
This is the LTR version of EzSaveII. We are currently operating this
for a few customers. It is currently designed to work with E.F. Johnson's
latest Viking repeaters that use the TNT100 style validarors. We will be
expanding this to operate on several more of the popular accumulators/validators.
GenSZAI
Currently we are releasing GenSZAI for accumulating telephone call
detail records for Motorola's Smart Zone trunk systems. In the near future,
we will complete and release other sections including dispatch accumulation
in seleted time periods, Private Conversation in selected time periods
and more.
EzBilLTR
This is our version of EzBill that manages LTR flavor trunking systems.
Here's what we are working on:
AutoCode
This is a method to automatically give you the next available code
on various repeaters on various systems. You can define the method for
the assignment. You can define a list of systems that are in a 'region'
and request codes for some or all of the systems in that region. AutoCode
will also spread the codes assigned across home repeaters that you say
are to be used as 'code-able' repeaters. By this, we mean that you can
elect to keep certain repeaters out of the assignment cycle.
Coming Web
Site Features
Within the next few months, we will have a specific section of our
web site, dedicated to our existing world wide customer base. It will be
protected by a password that we will provide to our customers access to
our Customer Care section. Here's some of the things we will feature--
helpful hints on how to get the most out of all of our software and hardware;
an area where our customers can retrieve updates to their programs; FAQ
(frequently asked questions) and answers; many more features as we progress.
Also, within the next few months, we will be adding several great features
to our web site. The biggest feature will be an international database
of stolen two-way radios. We will have a convenient way for you to enter
a radio as being stolen. We will ask for hte serial number of the radio,
when it was reported stolen, where it was stolen, who to contact, etc.
We will also give a convenient way to search our database for a serial
number to see if it has been reported as stolen.
Another item will be a world wide database of trunk systems. Right
now, we have over 1300 site names and locations on file. We hope to provide
a search engine that will tell you where a trunk system is located and
who to contact for service.
You Name It
We want to hear how we can help you do your trunking job better. Look
on the bottom of this page and you will find a button that will help you
to send an e-mail message or a file to us. We want to hear from you!
