Genesis Smart Zone ATIA Interface GENSZAI (Gen-seye)

General Description -GENSZAI is an airtime capture and accumulation software program for the Motorola Smart Zone System. It operates on a Pentium PC under Windows ‘95. The GENSZAI PC connects to the Zone Controller (ZC) by way of an Ethernet link. It is intended that the GENSZAI PC be located within 100' of the Zone Controller. TheGENSZAI PC will contain a minimum of 16Meg of RAM and a 1Gigabyte hard disk. Optionally, the GENSZAI PC can be hooked to a customer’s lan for providing a smooth link from the airtime rollover files to the GTMS billing and management software. While the customer’s billing software can reside on the same PC as the GENSZAI program, it is not suggested. A separate computer will allow for 100% hardware redundancy.

Hardware Any brand of a Pentium PC, 100MHz or better, 16Meg of RAM or better, 1Gigabyte Hard Disk or better, 1 plug in ethernet network card. A streaming tape or Jazz drive backup is suggested also. It is suggested that the customer provide an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) to keep the PC operating at lease as long as the ZC will operate under a power off condition. The customer will provide all hardware to help minimize the customer’s cost and to all ow for better support of the hardware by a local vendor.

Software Genesis will provide the GENSZAI software on diskettes that will install on the PC very easily by the customer. Set up of the operating parameters will also be a simple, guided operation. It will be necessary for the customer to provide the Windows ‘95 operating environment.

General Release 1 Features-

General Release 2 Goals-

The Catcher Module-

This is the portion that talks constantly to the SZ controller via ethernet. This is also the section to do some preprocessing of the data. The catcher will determin the call length and place that in the trans.file. The catcher will also grab system update information and place that in a file. The catcher will also create a hook to allow real time display of activity on the local PC as well as other Pcs on the LAN.

Airtime Rollover file layout-- Required character- ‘I’ Radio ID- In decimal as 7xxxxx for TypeII radios and Hex as $$$-$$$ for TypeI radios Type of Call- D=dispatch, I=interconnect, P=private calls, X=data calls Airtime total for period2- mmmmm:ss -or- if call type is ‘X’, this is the total data messages in period 2 (xxxx) Airtime total for period1- mmmmm:ss -or- if call type is ‘X’, this is the total data messages in period 1 (xxxx) Total busy time for period 1- mmm:ss Total busy time for period 2- mmm:ss

Example:
I, 757393, D, 0:00, 114:56, 0:00,0:00,0:30
I, 757393, I, 0:00, 11:19, 0:00,0:00,0:00
I, 757353, D, 1:00, 42:31, 10:00,0:00,0:00

I, 200-00B, D, 0:00, 14:29, 0:00,0:00,0:00

Interconnect Call Detail Layout This will look exactly like a standard SLNG output. If there are any additional items for routing information, that will be added to the end of each record. We will also identify in the header record that this is coming from a SmartZone Controller. Here is an actual sample output from GENSZAI:
