ETTL Analytical Laboratory Testing
Services for Landfills

ETTL's analytical laboratory facilities play a key role in the landfill projects carried out by the Company. These in-house facilities have played a key role in ETTL's services for over fifteen years, providing closer quality control and coordination, as well as rapid turn-around time on projects that call for analytical tests.

The test procedures in the ETTL analytical laboratories involve both organic and inorganic chemical analyses. They employ not only applicable wet chemistry procedures, but utilize atomic absorption and gas chromatography techniques, together with other readily available in-house instrumentation. In the photo, a mass spectrometer, one of numerous instruments available in ETTL's analytical laboratories, is programmed to analyze and identify more than 54,000 compounds. The instrumentation available enables ETTL to perform the vast majority of environmental test protocols. In addition, because ETTL maintains close working relationships with other members of ACIL (the Association of Independent Scientific, Engineering and Testing Firms), it is able to provide ready access to additional highly specialized categories of analytical expertise for particular cases.

To maximize its analytical services for Landfill clients, ETTL has developed the LandStar Sampling, Testing and Database Program for landfill ground-water monitoring, which you can read about by clicking here.
