ETTL Regulatory Compliance Services

ETTL stands ready to help environmental clients, especially industrial generators, make sure they are in compliance with both Federal and State regulations. The Company sees itself as having a five-fold mission toward generators: (1) To help make them aware of the need for compliance with environmental regulations that bear upon their fields of operation, especially because of the increasing stringency of governmental requirements; (2) To uncover and clarify areas of deficiency; (3) To describe methods of correction and prevention; (4) To help create a plan of remedial (and preventative) steps, so construed as to accommodate itself to budget realities; and (5) To aid, as requested, in actual implementation of such plans.

In light of the above, ETTL offers some
eleven interrelated
services to generators

1. Environmental Compliance Audits: In which ETTL will examine your situation in light of existing regulations and follow up with recommendations, if needed, for compliance, working out with you a phased battle plan to fit your budget.
2. Waste Management Consultation: Helping in the areas of: waste evaluation and classification; waste minimization; liaison with governmental agencies (including helping generators find out what kinds of regulatory relief they may qualify for); and waste treatment, storage and disposal management. 3.
OSHA Training under 29 CFR 1910.120: ETTL can provide 40-hour personal protection and safety training courses for non-responders; 24-hour training for non-routine employees, and 8-hour annual refresher training.
At right, students are trained in the use of respirators during a 40-hour OSHA course given by ETTL.
4.
Employee Right-to-Know: ETTL can help the generator make sure that both Federal and State hazard communication acts are being complied with, as well as help prepare appropriate manuals and carry out training programs.
5.
Community Right-to-Know: ETTL can help the generator become familiar with and satisfy requirements, as in: (a) Section 311, MSDS, etc., to the local emergency coordinator; (b) Section 312 - Tier II forms, and (c) Section 313 - correct preparation and timely submission of the annual Form "R."
6.
Wastewater: ETTL can help generators in three important ways: (a) In obtaining (and/or being in compliance with) Federal and State discharge permitting; (b) In discharge monitoring; and (c) With stormwater runoff studies (as well as permitting).
7.
Site Assessment Activities: If deemed necessary, ETTL can carry out Phase I, II and III environmental site assessments (ESA's). For more information on ETTL's ESA services, click here.
8. Drilling and Percussion-Probing Services, harnessed as part of ETTL's site assessment capabilities, and used for subsurface soil, ground-water and soil-gas sampling, as well as for installing of monitoring wells. For more information on these services, click here.
9. Analytical Laboratory Testing Services: ETTL's modern analytical laboratory is equipped to carry out all necessary testing of assessment samples. It puts full analytical services at the generator's disposal. For more information on ETTL's analytical
capabilities, click here.
10. Indoor Air Quality Studies: ETTL staffers are well acquainted with regulations in this area of industrial hygiene, and can help the generator establish and maintain permissible exposure levels.
11. Environmental "Mass Balance Accounting" - which is, in essence, "constituents management." ETTL can offer specialized training in this area.
