ETTL's landfill gas management services are administrated by the Company's Hydrogeological Services Group (HS Group), which has provided consulting services and professional expertise in the drafting of numerous Landfill Gas Management Plans (LGMPs), and which has installed both Gas Monitoring Probes (GMPs) and passive Methane Vent wells (MVs). In a typical recent project, it designed a Landfill Gas Assessment Plan (LGAP) to define the extent of methane migration away from a permitted landfill property. At right, a member of ETTL's HS Group obtains methane values from a gas monitoring probe.
ETTL also provides construction quality assurance (CQA) services for projects that require the design and construction of landfill gas extraction systems.
The HS Group's field staff is well trained in methane monitoring techniques as required by the TNRCC, using Combustible Gas Indicator and Lower Explosive Limit instruments. The Group's hydrogeologists coordinate and provide field supervision of GMP and MV installations.
