ETTL Analytical Laboratory
Quality Assurance Program

ETTL's Analytical Laboratory operations conform
to a detailed Quality Assurance Program prepared
in accordance with EPA QAM-004/80.
Aspects of the Program include:

Log-In Process: Samples received use ETTL's or the client's chain-of-custody. Preservatives are verified at log-in time. Samples are stored according to specifications of the analytical method to be applied. (At right is Log-In Supervisor Janice Bates.)

Standard Operating Procedures have been pre-written by ETTL for all analytical and related procedures.

Quality Control Techniques are used that provide results determined to a point of known precision and accuracy. Techniques include: Method Blanks; Spiked Method Blanks; Matrix Spikes; Duplicates; and QC Check Samples.

Tracking of Quality Control Results using computerized statistical procedures.

Participation in External Quality Control Programs including the EPA Water Pollution (WP) series and a commercial quarterly test program. In addition, the Laboratory will analyze the client's QC check samples upon request.

Data Validation including multiple reviews to ensure results are correctly reported.
