ETTL Analytical Laboratory Equipment
As before indicated, ETTL's Analytical Laboratory is equipped with
instruments able to perform the vast majority of environmental
test protocols. Its key units include:
- Hewlett Packard (HP) 5971 GC/MS (gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer) equipped with an HP autoinjector and a Tekmar purge-and-trap system.
- HP 5890 GC equipped with FID and ECD detectors and a HP autoinjector. Data acquisition is automated, using a Justice Innovations MS-DOS-
based chromatography data system.
- Tracor 560 GC equipped with a PID detector, a Tekmar LSC-2000 purge-and-trap, and a Precision Sampling W/S-30 autosampler for volatiles analysis. Data acquisition is automated, using a Justice Innovations MS-DOS-based chromatography data system.
- Windows 95 based LIMS System for sample and data tracking.
- Perkin-Elmer 5000 and two Perkin-Elmer 4000 atomic absorption spectrophotometers, each equipped with flame aspiration and graphite furnace capabilities.
Data acquisition is automatic, using a Labtronics MS-DOS-based data system. In the photo, an atomic absorption spectrophotometer is being used for heavy metals determination.
- Perkin-Elmer 203B infrared spectrophotometer for conducting TPH analyses.
- Milton Roy Spectronic 601 visible spectrophotometer.
- Dohrmann DC-80 total organic carbon (TOC) analyzer.
- Dohrmann DX-20 total organic halogen (TOH) analyzer.
- Fisher Accumet 925 pH/ion selective electrode meter.
