Neurology Sites
A very preliminary list of neurology sites:
Capsule Bio of WH
- Shy mathematical kid from small-town Ohio who got into neurology because of interest in brain function. Did fellowship in EEG/Epilepsy because of curosity about wave phenomena.
- Now involved in medical informatics. The things computers do best--precise data storage and retrieval, repetitive elementary decision making, document generation--are what humans do least well. (On the other hand try programming a computer to read body language or distress on a human face!) Computers have the potential to perform much of the repetitive drudgery of medicine, freeing time for a more humane and less error-prone encounter.
- Recent refugee from Dallas and the VA system. Opened neurology practice here September 3rd. Now part of East Texas Neurology, LLC. Hoping to enjoy relative autonomy and feel more at home in Tyler.
- Will be attempting, little-by-little, to implement CPR (computerized
patient record) and paradigm of distributed information that treats physician as problem-solving advisor with patient as informed manager
of his/her own health.
- If you really want to know the dry details, my CV is available.

under construction. If you are using a text-only browser, don't worry--
graphics on this page are just decoration (and my graphics sense is terrible). Last revision 9/28/96.
