Some of the newest generations of console gaming systems can be enabled over a Cox High Speed Internet connection. They can be connected to a cable modem via an Ethernet cable.

Each console connected to a cable modem needs to pull an IP address.  Please use the following guidelines to ensure that your game system can pull an IP address.

1.  If you are hooking your game system directly to the modem, please be sure to completely shutdown
     any computers that are connected to the modem first. Once the computers have been shutdown, then
     you may disconnect the computer and connect your game system to the cable modem.

2.  If you are connecting the game system to the modem via a hub, please be sure to contact us and order
     an additional IP address for your account.

3.  If you are connecting the game system to a modem via a router, you will not need to purchase an
     additional IP address.

4.  Follow the steps below to configure your gaming system to use a Cox High Speed Internet connection.
