1. Shut your computer down and leave it off.
2. Unplug your cable modem from the electricity for 30
seconds.
3. Plug the modem back in and wait for the light that says
"Cable" to stay solid
green.
4. If you have your computer hooked up to a router, reboot the
router.
(You can reboot the router by unplugging it from the
electricity for a few
seconds, then plugging it back in.)
5. Turn your computer back on.
If resetting your cable
modem did not restore your connection, try releasing and
renewing your IP (Internet Protocol) address:
Windows: 98 /
ME /
2000 /
XP
Sometimes firewall
applications can prevent you from accessing the Internet;
try
temporarily disabling your firewall to restore your connection:
1. Disable your firewall:
Windows XP built-in Firewall,
Norton Firewall,
Zone Alarm
2. Attempt to connect to the Internet.
3. Re-enable your firewall.
(Note: If reactivating your firewall disables your internet
connection again, contact your firewall manufacturer.)

There are several network settings that may need to
be configured on your computer before connecting to the Internet.
Below are some network configuration guides. Choose
your operating system:
Windows: 98 /
ME /
2000 /
XP
Macintosh:
OS9 /
OSX
If all of your network
