The Barn!

In the Spring of ought-03 I decided to build a barn, which actually would be a workshop since I have no large animals, other than the wife and kids and a few very suspect individuals who frequent the site from time to time for the periodic rest and relaxation events . I had never attempted a project of this scope and size, but it seemed like a very good idea at the time. And, as it turned out, it was a good idea, and after a lot of research, reading, looking, and rocking chair thinking, the dream began coming to life. The barn is almost complete now, well, as much as it will ever be complete because there is always just one more thing that needs doing.

I have kept a photo diary of the project, and if you wish, click here to peruse the pictures. Also, as mentioned above, we have had some socializing events 'at the barn', and hopefully I will get around to posting some of those photos as well, with names withheld to protect the innocent.

Soccer - I'm keeping these links on the site, for anyone that might want to see them one day. Heck, I enjoy looking at them myself every now and then.

A Great Soccer Link

As you can tell, soccer is and has been a passion of mine since about '82. I began playing then, and still do. Both my girls played, and I coached them for many years. Remind me to tell you some soccer stories sometime.

Raymond Mills - From Milam, Texas. I went to school 1-12 at Hemphill High School, and had a great time there. I attended and graduated SFASU in Nacogdoches, TX, with a three year stint in the USAF squeezed in there somewhere. I married Karen Annette Dudley from Hemphill in 1976, and believe or not, she still puts up with me today! She says every day that I'm the apple of her eye. I also own some ocean front property in Arizona.

Karen Mills - I'm the genius that married Raymond. Yeah, I know. Anyway, we live in the Tyler, TX area, actually in the Whitehouse school district. We brought forth and raised two wonderful daughters, Kacy and Tory, and they went to school in Whitehouse 1-12. Kacy is a graduate of the University of Texas in Arlington and Tory is currently a senior at Texas A&M university. Please send money.
