Acres: Interest in three tracts of land

William Everhart to William Hawkins

2 August 1858

 

I William Everhart have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to William Hawkins and his heirs forever, for the consideration of Nine hundred and fifty dollars, to me in hand paid (the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) all the right title interest and Claim that I have in and to the landed Estate of my father Nicholas Everhart decd- which consists in an undivided interest under the last Will and Testament, of the said Nicholas Everhart. decd- in some three tracts of land in Greene County Tennessee, adjoining the lands of George Kenney John Couch and others It is intended in this deed to convey all my undivided interest in said Estate under the Will of the said Nicholas Everhart. decd.

To have and to hold the same to the said William Hawkins his heirs and assigns forever, I do covenant with the said William Hawkins that I am lawfully seized of said undivided interest, have a good right to convey it, and that the same is unincumbered, I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the tile to said land and every part and parcel of my undivided interest to the Said William Hawkins his heirs and assigns forever.

State of Tennessee } Personally appeared before me Elijah W. Headrick, Clerk of the

Greene County } County Court of Said County the within named William Everhart the bargainor, with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that he executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained, Witness my hand at office the 2nd day of August 1858.
