TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME

GREETING.

KNOW YE, that in consideration of an ENTRY made in the ENTRY TAKER'S OFFICE of Hawkins County, of No. 1928 dated the 6th day of June 1839, by Nicholas Everhart there is GRANTED by the State of Tennessee unto the said Nicholas Everhart and his heirs, a certain TRACT OF LAND, containing fifty acres, lying in the County aforesaid, on the south side of Holston River joining land of David Lauderback & others. Beginning on a sugar tree at a pine stump near the forks of a branch on Lauderback's old line, with the same south eighty four poles to a postoak _______ Lauderback's poplar corner at sixty six poles, then south eighty eight east thirty two poles to a stake in the Day's Gap road, then with the road as it meanders north one east twenty four poles North thirty four east eighteen poles, north twenty east forty poles, north four east thirty two poles, north nineteen east fourteen poles, north forty nine west nine poles, north twenty two west twenty six poles, north nine east thirty two poles to a stake in the road, then west thirty five poles to a hickory & postoak on Lauderback's line, then with said line south one hundred and fourteen poles to the Beginning.

 

Surveyed 25 March 1849

with its appurtenance, to HAVE and to HOLD the said TRACT or PARCEL of LAND, with its appurtenances, to the said Nicholas Everhart and his heirs forever. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, N. S. Brown Governor of the State of Tennessee, has hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the 1st day of May in the YEAR OF OUR LORD one thousand eight hundred and forty nine and of AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE the 73rd.
