Norton To Jacob Everhart Reg. 16th February 1855
Know
all men by these presents that I Minerva Norton of the County of Greene and
State
of
Tennessee, for and in consideration of the sum of Seven dollars to me in hand
paid by
Jacob
Everhart of the same County and State aforesaid, have bargained and sold and
forever
convey a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of
Greene on
the
north Side of Lick Creek . Beginning at
a ded white oak, then east fourteen poles to a
hickory,
then North twenty and a fourth poles to a red oak, thence west six poles to a
red
oak,
then north Sixteen and a half west, fourteen poles to a white oak, then west
three poles
to a
stake in Everhearts line, thence, thence South with his line to the
Beginning.
Containing
Two acres and thirty poles to have and
to hold unto the said Jacob Everhart
his
heirs and assigns forever, with all and Singular appertenances thereto belonging,
and
the
said Minerva Norton, doth bind herself to warrant and defend from me, my heirs
Executors
Administrators for the above named Two acres and 30 poles of land from any
persons
or persons whatever to him the Said Jacob Everhart his heirs and assigns &
forever
in witness hereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal in the Year of our Lord
one
thousand
eight hundred and fifty four and this being the Twenty ninth day of July.}

Say that they are acquainted with Minerva
Norton the bargainor, and that
they saw her sign seal and execute the same
on the day it bears date - Witness
my hand at office the 15th day of
February 1855.
