Topics for the 15-hour program include dynamics of drug use, personal consequences of drug use, drug use and the quality of life, and skills for lifestyle changes. Exit interviews are conducted on clients failing the post-test or who score in the evident problem range on the substance abuse questionnaire, with recommendations being made to appropriate services.
To register, contact your supervision officer. A Drug Offender Education Packet must be completed in the office, and once it is complete, you will be placed in the next available class, and a letter will be sent notifying you of class dates. No "drop ins" are allowed for any class. There is often a waiting list of several months for classes, so everyone is encouraged to register as early as possible. The total fee for the class is $70.00, which must be paid prior to the class starting. If the fee is not paid prior to the start of the class, you will have to re-register and re-take all classes. No absences are allowed from class. If you miss a class, you have to re-pay the fee, re-register, and take all classes again.
