Another form of community supervision is state jail felony community supervision. Offenders may be sentenced to regular community supervision or deferred adjudication community supervision for these offenses, with the term in the state jail facility running from 180 days to two years, which may be suspended for a term on community supervision for a minimum of two years to a maximum of five years, or a deferred sentence of up to five years. Extensions may subsequently increase the total years under supervision to ten.
Violations of the terms of state jail community supervision are treated as are violations of deferred or regular community supervision sentences. An offender under a deferred sentence for a state jail felony may face a motion to proceed with adjudication, adjudication, placement on regular community supervision, shock, or a sentence to a state jail facility. An offender under a regular sentence of community supervision may face a motion to revoke supervision, shock, or a sentence to a state jail for violations of the conditions of supervision.		 bac6_anm.gif (8321 bytes)
